Overseas Projects
Since 1986, Go Forth Ministry has been assisting persecuted Christians in Asia. Here are the main ways we do that:
Short-term mission trips
Mission TripsGFM escorts teams of American Christians to Asia several times a year. Those team carry Bibles, do outreach and street evangelism, and visit churches to encourage believers.

Hosting Taiwan outreach teams
Read MoreJaren Baer works with Faith Hope Love Mission Base in Taiwan to host incoming mission teams, as he is available. He helps give teams from all over the world opportunities to spread the Gospel in Taiwan. Through this role he is building up many relationships on the mission field.
Brother Barnabas: Taiwan Vietnamese Church
TVC WebsiteFor 18 years, Brother Barnabas has pastored 3 Vietnamese churches in Taiwan.
Taiwan's Vietnamese population is nearly 400,000 strong, largely made up of people on short-term work or school visas. Barnabas reaches them while they are in a free country, seizing the opportunity to safely give them gospel. Then, when they return home, these new believers spread the gospel to their locales.
Barnabas' Taiwan Vietnamese Church is an open door into the closed country of Vietnam.
Vietnam pastor support
Support a pastorFor decades, GFM has financially supported underground pastors and missionaries in Vietnam. Your generosity offers these persecuted Christians the resources to keep doing the work God has called them to do.
A $60 donation supports a pastor in Vietnam for one month.
Vietnam Bible school
Support a studentGFM supports an underground Bible school in Vietnam. Its curriculum teaches them how to evangelize the people around them.
A donation of $1,200 supports one student for a full year.
Local Projects:
Art & Discipleship
Go Forth Ministry's local vision: train artists to see Beauty; disciple them to Christ; send them out.
List of Services
-
Creative spaces, creative disciplesList Item 1
GFM is developing "creative environments:" spaces where artists gather to collaborate and create. For artists, these are the spaces where their hearts and minds are opened--a perfect opportunity to covertly bring them to Christ.
Each space will be guided by strong believers, ready to disciple them in the ways of Christ and His beauty. In the future we hope to see many of these creative environments emerge.
-
The Brothers BaerList Item 2
The first "creative enviroment." The Brothers Baer is a YouTube variety show starring brothers Jaren and David, with performances, sketches, parodies and more.
Filmed locally, this show's creative process is highly collaborative and inviting, a perfect place to bring in people in need of community and Jesus Himself.
-
Art analysis & trainingList Item 3
WIth a focus on Truth and Beauty in narrative, Jaren helps emerging artists to discover the deeper meaning in art. This is a great tool to subtly speak the truths of who God is to otherwise deaf ears.
Other Projects
Creative Space
Offered by a friend, we have access to a facility that we hope to tranform into a multifaceted creative space. We already film The Brothers Baer here, and we hope to build out areas for painting, photography, app development and more.
We are pursuing this endeavor by faith, as it will require a large amount of funding.
LincWay Art Studio
(COMING SOON) This is a space at LincWay dedicated to making pottery, paintings and more. The owners of LincWay have offered it for our use three days a week. We hope to begin teaching art classes here in the near future.
Starview Worship Ministries
Many of the young people with whom we are working have come out of this small, worship-centered community. The members and leaders of this community believe art is a vital expression of worship, and they give opportunities for artists to thrive. We plan to collaborate with them on future projects.
